British Ceramics Biennial (BCB)
The British Ceramics Biennial (BCB) is a festival celebrating and showcasing contemporary ceramics from across the world. Set in Stoke-on-Trent, in the heart of the UK ceramics industry, the festival takes place in established venues and non-traditional spaces across the city.
Selected for the 2011 BCB - an AWARD finalist following an open national application process that attracted over 150 entries, also selected to develop a project/ commission working within the industrial complex of the former Spode factory site. BCB offered five commissions in total, each artist was to research and make a response to Stoke-on-Trent, its heritage, and/or its communities and industry.
